Meet Master Gardner Shatich Livingstone:

Shatich’s passion for gardening began in her own back yard garden and she often gifted the food she grew to friends and neighbors. After over 20 years working in the medical field as an Administrative Assistant, Shatich decided to make a career out of gardening and focused on paths that would also allow her to help people. She completed the Master Gardener program at Rutgers University and started a family business maintaining backyard gardens for homeowners. 

In 2018, Shatich took on a leadership role in the Neighborhood Center’s Urban Farm. Her current goals are to lead the teen gardeners, run the CSA, and expand the garden’s potential. She looks forward to both her and the Neighborhood Center’s growth.

Sample herbed butters

 Shatich will bring samples of five herb butters. She makes them by hand and uses the herbs that are grown on-site. Samples will include: roasted garlic, lemon thyme, mixed herb, rosemary, cinnamon & brown sugar.
