ZHAIRE MCCORMICK
Assistant Director

Zhaire was born and raised in the city of Camden. He’s the eldest of four brothers and thus it appears that he was born to lead. Zhaire then stayed right at home for college, where he went to Rutgers University–Camden majoring in sociology with the goal of working in Social Work. During his time at Rutgers, he worked Part-time at The Neighborhood Center. Where he truly saw first hand the work and mission that has been provided over generations of families. Zhaire has spent time in nearly every program the Center has offered but his heart is for children and families. Zhaire works to consistently create opportunities for children to be exposed to new ideas and experiences that will set them on a trajectory of success and deep fulfillment.

Zhaire’s known for his love of sports and children. He’s managed to incorporate his love for both by using sports as a tool to imbed life long lessons in the minds of every child who crosses his path. In essence, he’s become a life coach.

His fervor and dedication to assist others is evident in the career paths he’s chosen. There hasn’t been a time in his career where his primary goal didn’t include pouring all he has to offer into the youth in the city of Camden. He’s an asset to any team he joins and we’re beyond grateful that’s become a leader of ours.
